Storm Boswick (full name Sean Morgan Storm Boswick) has built a distinguished career over more than three decades in asset management, venture capital, and strategic advisory. His expertise spans public and private equity and debt markets, where he has successfully managed large investment portfolios and provided strategic insights to organizations navigating complex financial environments. Throughout his career, Storm has been a strong advocate for corporate governance, serving on several public and private company boards. He currently serves on the Board of Directors at the UCLA Space Institute, contributing to its Technical and Finance Committees. His global professional experiences have allowed him to work in various markets, including Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Israel, France, the Netherlands, and the Caribbean. His expertise has earned him recognition in financial media outlets like CNBC, Bloomberg, CNNfn, and prestigious publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, and the Financial Times. Storm’s educational background laid the foundation for his successful career. He attended Ridley College in Ontario, followed by Choate Rosemary Hall, before earning an MA Honours degree in Economic History and International Relations from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. While at St. Andrews, he was actively involved in leadership roles, serving as president of the International Politics Association and competing on the varsity golf team. His research at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London further deepened his understanding of global economics and international relations, preparing him for future finance work. Storm entered finance in 1994 as a financial analyst at Goldman Sachs in New York. His talent and dedication quickly led him to a role at J&W Seligman, where, in 1996, he became the youngest partner in the firm’s history. At Seligman, he managed investment portfolios in the technology, media, and telecom sectors, overseeing billions of dollars. In 2001, he transitioned to Sigma Capital, where he worked as a long/short portfolio manager, and in 2006, he founded Brompton Cross Capital, an investment firm focusing on public and private technology investments. In 2008, Storm joined Brock Capital Group as Senior Managing Director, where he spent over a decade advising clients on private debt portfolios. His work at Brock involved collaborating with firms like Medley Capital, Brightwood Capital, and MC Credit, helping clients raise capital, restructure portfolios, and navigate global financial markets. In 2021, Storm founded TRE Advisors, a strategic advisory firm focusing on clients in the technology and industrial sectors within the Five Eyes Alliance and Israel. TRE Advisors specializes in Public/Private Partnerships and Dual-Purpose technologies, providing tailored strategies to meet the needs of a rapidly changing global landscape. Alongside TRE Advisors, he manages TRE Ventures, a portfolio focused on venture capital, private equity, and private debt investments. Outside of his professional achievements, Storm is deeply committed to environmental conservation. He supports the Fabien Cousteau Ocean Learning Center and participates in coral reef restoration projects with the Reef Restoration Foundation in Bonaire. As a certified scuba diver, he engages in worldwide marine research and conservation efforts. His love for golf continues through his membership at the St. Andrews Golf Club, where he remains active.
